The Band: The Bolt Ons were formed in 1998 by guitarist Warren Horsley, bassist Darrell Tucker and drummer Scott Lute. Their original incarnation was that of a power trio. They soon realized that the individual musical talents and tastes of the group lent itself more to the blues and classic rock styles of music. With the addition of 4th member Ron Wilkinson on rhythm guitar the Bolt Ons began to develop the unique sound that Their fans love. When founding member Warren Horsley decided to leave Kansas City for the beautiful Pacific Northwest, guitarist Steve McGinnis stepped in and has become a crowd favorite with his ability to interact with and awe the audience. Earlier this year old friend Ken Ridgeway re-joined the band behind the drum kit. With Clifton Printy replacing Ron Wilkinson who has moved to Northern California, the bands sound and energy has evolved into what can only be described as a must have experience. Once you hear the Bolt Ons you will be a fan for life.
Ken Ridgeway - Drums and Vocals: Ken is also self-taught. He first picked up his drumsticks at the age of 9 or 10 and has been laying down beats ever since. After graduating from high school, Ken majored in broadcasting at Central Missouri State University. He now works as a videographer by day and serves as the backbone of the Bolt Ons by night. Over the years, he has played with numerous blues and jam bands. He is currently on his second tour of duty with the Bolt Ons. His beautiful tenor voice and sense of rhythm add a dynamic that is an intregal part of the unique Bolt Ons sound.

Darrell Tucker - Bass And Vocals: A founding member of the Bolt Ons, Darrell has been playing bass since he was 9. He played string bass in school orchestras from 5th grade all the way through the UMKC Conservatory Orchestra and the University of Missouri-Columbia Orchestra. He has also spent time in community orchestras such as Liberty Symphony, Northland Symphony, and the Northland Philharmonic. He purchased his first electric bass at age 14 and knew immediately that electricity was his calling. He joined his first band that same year. There have been numerous bands in all different genres since. In 1998 he was introduced to guitarist Warren Horsley. From that meeting, the Bolt Ons were formed and Darrell found his musical home. His ability to just “let it happen” gives the Bolt Ons bottom end its unique flavor of Blues/Jazz/Funk.

Steve McGinnis - Guitar And Vocals: Steve taught himself to play the guitar at age 9. He then extended his musical abilities to bass and low brass. After high school he majored in low brass and music education at Central Methodist College. He has played in several local bands over the years ranging from hardcore jazz to country to classic/hard rock and everything in between. He is an accomplished lead player with his skills deeply rooted in the Blues. It is apparent upon hearing him play that his music comes from deep inside his soul, and that his deepest passion is a wailing blues guitar in front of a live audience.
